PreSales Academy Participant Code of Conduct

]

  1. Attendance and Participation. The PreSales Academy program is a 10 week part-time virtual (online) program. Your estimated total effort per week is between 8-10 hours. During Stage 2, online lectures are hosted two-three times per week between 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pacific time. To successfully complete the program you must attend at least 90% of live online session, and actively participate in exercises, complete all assignments, and work with coaches and peers on roleplay practices.

  2. Professionalism. The ultimate outcome we want coming out of this program is for you to land a solutions related job. In order for us to support you in your job search you must demonstrate to us that you operate in a professional manner, including being on time to meetings, completing assignments on time, communicating effectively (e.g. advanced communication if you are running late to a meeting or will miss a deadline on an assignment).

  3. Communication. Open communication is key for student success during and after the program. Open communication means that both the PSA Academy Team and enrolled students will readily share information with each other in a transparent, consistent and dependable way. Meaning, all students must be responsive on program-designated communication channels (Slack and Email) on a regular basis (weekly). Any communication received should be responded to within two (2) business days. During the program, students are expected to communicate about: Curriculum questions, late or missing assignments, live session absences and tardiness. After graduation, students are expected to communicate about: Regular job search updates, challenges in their job search, interview updates, wins and job search feedback.

  4. Accountability. Accountability means following through with your commitments, promises, and showing respect for other peoples’ time. Accountability includes an expectation that you achieve your goals, promptly respond to any and all communication from potential employers or your PreSales Academy Career Advisors -- and to be on-time to all scheduled meetings, job interviews, and other scheduled obligations. Until this Agreement terminates, any communication received from PreSales Academy must be responded to within two (2) business days. As a solutions consultant, you are expected to manage multiple relationships, which includes returning communications promptly. This is one of the primary skills needed to be a successful solutions consultant.

  5. Coachability. Being coachable means you're leaving room for the possibility that there's something you haven't learned yet that could make you even better. Coachable Participants are open to feedback to improve their performance and accept feedback without becoming ruffled, angry, or dejected. You are expected to implement things you learn throughout the program and implement instructions from your Coaches. Being Coachable is crucial not only for your success in the program, but also in your career.

  6. No Harassment. PreSales Academy is a place to learn. We aim to create an environment of mutual trust and the absence of intimidation, oppression, and exploitation. Participants and staff must be able to work and learn in a safe, yet stimulating atmosphere. As such, PreSales Academy will not tolerate any form of harassment, verbal or physical conduct, designed to threaten or intimidate others, which includes but is not limited to the following: verbal harassment, comments that are offensive or unwelcome regarding a person’s nationality, origin, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, body, disability or appearance, epithets, slurs and negative stereotyping. Nonverbal harassment includes distribution, display or discussion of any written or graphic material that ridicules, denigrates, insults, belittles or shows hostility, aversion or disrespect toward an individual or group because of national origin, race, color, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy, appearance, disability, sexual identity, marital or other protected status.

  7. You Get What You Give. You will get out of the program what you put into the program. You will be provided the skills, techniques, coaching, and resources to be successful in completing the program and obtaining a job, but it is up to you to take full advantage of everything the programs provides to you. Our Instructors, Coaches, Mentors, and Staff are here to help you succeed. If you don’t respect your time, or their time, you will not get the most out of your investment in this program. Failure to duly and timely respond to communication requests, whether sent to you may show a disregard for your Coach/Mentor’s time, or your inability to manage your own time well (both are qualities expected of successful solutions consultants).

Failure to adhere to the Program Rules and Participant Obligations may subject Participant to removal from the program by PreSales Academy in PreSales Academy’s sole and absolute discretion. Continued use of all your Participant and post-program Alumni privileges requires respect and professionalism to be shown to your fellow participants, and PreSales Academy support staff, and the general community. PreSales Academy will not endorse Participants for hiring opportunities if they demonstrate unprofessional behavior, even after graduating from the program.
